Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes:
A quick reaction force needs to be a lot smaller than the 28 million strong forces we have. What I'm proposing is that we organize the following:
1. Quick Reaction Force (no more than 300,000 troops, perhaps 50 combat vessels, 1,000 planes). This is more or less a pool of troops who can respond quickly to small scale crises or establish beacheads, LZs, etc.
2. That we establish 4 "Directional" command groups consisting of all arms. This still puts each one at about 7 million but that might be a little more manageable. The Directional Command Groups would consist in turn of however many Army Groups, Fleets, Air Divisions and so on.
3. Within these would be "Ready" formations. These would be regular contributions by allies, with "Reserve" formations designated in case there was an actual major war.
For example: Directional Command North consists of 7 million troops (including ships, planes, helicopters, etc) However operationally on a regular basis they only have 1 million "Ready" troops divided into three Army Groups, 2 Fleets and 2 Air Corps. The other 6 million would be held in reserve.
This way we could have a muster roll for the formations.
Thoughts?

Second the Above post. We could also have the ULN Arm Industry Supply a range of Weapons for the Quick Reaction force. I'm currently working on a Service Rifle Competition for the ULN, Hopefully we could use this to our advantage and get some good rifles for the quick reaction forces.

That's a great idea, that way our Quick Reaction Force or whatever we call it will have the same calibers and all that.
I have a lot going on today but I'll try sometime tonight maybe to organize a recruitment thread for the different forces so we can organize a bit, if you guys think it would be a good idea.

my ideas
1. The Quick Reaction Force will be divided into two groups, the Quick Reaction Force (QRF) and the United League of Nations Defence Force (ULNDF).
2. The QRF will be a highly mobile force composed of 20 divisions. Each division will have around 15,000 personnel, this gives a total a strength of around 300,000. Of the 20 divisions, five will be airborne, five marine, five airmobile and five mechanized.
3. The rest of the ULNDF will be split into three seperate branches, the navy (ULNN), the air force (ULNAF) and the army (ULNA). The personnel available will be split: Navy - 34% Army - 41% Air Force - 25% During a QRF Marine operation support will be provided by a detachment of the ULNN. Air support will be provided by a detachment of the ULNAF.
4. A standard cartridge (still undecided, I suggest .280 British or 6.8 Remington SPC) will be adopted, the standard weapon of the ULNDF will be chambered for it. This will ease logisitcs of the ULNDF.

I second the Above Post, If a Standard Catridge is needed, its best we have it posted in the ULN Arm Industry Thread. I will 'try' to make one and have it posted in the thread. As for the Ammunition used, I would recommend using the .280 British.
So if Everybody Agree with The above post then We could get started on allocating the Soldiers, Weapons etc.

I have to say that I'm not sure about the ammo thing--I like using the AK-74.

I have to say that I'm not sure about the ammo thing--I like using the AK-74. It just means the ULNDF will use a single caliber. It doesn't mean you have to switch to and other primary weapon for your military.
